Saucy Sarah's Homemade Apple Sauce

Saucy Sarah's Homemade Apple Sauce

Ingredients

9 medium cooking apples
1 cup of water
1/3 cup of sugar (or honey to taste)
ground cinnamon

Sarah's Instructions

I peel them (the apples). I cut them any way. (It doesn't matter since it turns to mush) Abdel (Sarah's husband) was yelling
at me saying I was going to cut my finger off.
(mmm…a little protein might help though.)
As long as they are at least quartered it's fine.

Combine the apples, water and sugar in a pan and bring
to a boil. Lower heat.

I simmer the apples long enough (8-10 minutes) that they need only to be mushed up with a spoon or spatula. You can use a masher or food processor if you like it less chunky
Sprinkle cinnamon to taste.
